Viral Video Marketing

One method of internet marketing that very few people take full advantage of is video marketing. I would define video marketing as the practice of creating videos that are catchy, funny, interesting, cute, or otherwise known as “Viral” that promote your product or service. Anyone can create a video and put it on You Tube, but unless they are Viral, they will do nothing for your company.
You want your videos to be viewed by as many people as possible and hook with something interesting. This is by far one of the hardest things to accomplish with a video. If you master this, you will receive hundreds of free visitors to your website each month. There are a few ways to make this happen, but my favorites are, one, cute kids. If you have a really cute kid in your video doing something funny, you will get lots of views. The second is having someone get hurt in your videos. We as human beings are demented people. Most of the time, when people get hurt and it’s caught on video, we either laugh or it was so bad that want to watch it over and over again. These are viral videos and will capture your viewers interest.
Next, we want to lead them away from You Tube and send them your website. This is done by having your website URL in the bottom corner of your videos. Any video editing software can create this image easily for you. You will also want to conclude your video with a blank page with your URL listed four or five times in different colored fonts. This catches peoples eyes and causes them to remember your URL. You also have an “About This Video” area where you can list your URL. People will click your URL if it is listed in that area.
To submit your videos I would recommend a free service called Tube Mogul. Tube Mogul will allow your to upload your video to their site and then they will distribute your video to ten different video sites including You Tube. This will get your video 10x more exposure than you would experience just submitting your videos to You Tube. Isn’t this what you want? The best part is, it will take you the same amount of time to submit to Tube Mogul as it does to You Tube and then you get more exposure. Why wouldn’t you do it?
Lastly, if you want the most exposure, you will need to do some SEO and optimize your videos for the search engines. Make sure that the title and description have your keywords in them. These videos are like any web page, they get indexed by the search engines and even show up in searches for your keywords. You need to make sure you take the time to think and strategically create your titles and descriptions.
Video marketing is powerful and if you do it properly, you can have a flood of free traffic coming to your website every day. Go out and make a video this week and upload it to Tube Mogul. The more you do it, the better you will get. If it doesn’t work as good as you though the first time, keep at it! It will pay off!

Facebook Marketing Phase 1: Registering and Setting Up Your Profile Properly

I have seen some amazing success over the last few weeks in generating leads for a client of ours via Facebook. If done right, it can have lasting effects that will definitely help boost your web traffic without having to pay a cent. I have decided to document my processes in setting up and executing a Facebook Marketing campaign and posting them on my blog for our clients and visitors to glean very valuable information from. This will be a series of posts so you might be able to master one concept before moving on to another.
If you do not follow along and decide to do things your own way, you will most likely fail and I will continue to dominate you and your company on the Facebook platform. If you do follow along and do everything that I post, you will make it as a Facebook Marketer.
- You will first begin by registering for a free Facebook account by going to http://www.facebook.com.
- You will then need to check your email address for a confirmation email. Once you click the confirmation link, you now have full access to Facebook and all its features.
One huge factor in making Facebook a successful lead generation tool is by just being you. Don’t go into it thinking that all you are going to do is promote, promote, and promote your product or service. You need to first promote yourself as a person, friend, family member, etc. Once you build relationships with your friends, you can then begin to promote with strict caution.
- You should now begin crafting your profile. At the top of the page there is a blue bar that says “Profile, Edit, Friends, Networks, Inbox”. Click the edit button next to Profile.
- Just below that blue bar, there is a grey bar with the words “Basic, Contact, Relationships, Personal, Education, Work, Picture”. Fill each of these out completely and honestly. To finish, upload a fun picture of you doing something crazy, fun, with family, etc. People want to see that you are a normal person, just like them!
- Make sure under the contact section that you put the website(s) that you will one day like to begin promoting on Facebook. You want people to be able to see the sites on your profile and click on them if they are curious, but DON’T PROMOTE them or even mention them to your friends. If asked about them, have fun and begin selling to that person only!!
Our main goal of updating the profile completely is to show people that we are human and have interests along with everyone else in the world.
That is enough for you to chew on and start perfecting before we go any further. Keep in mind that I have been testing all sorts of Facebook Marketing methods over the last year and believe that I have finally cracked the code when it comes to generating high quality, highly targeted leads for free. If you subscribe to our RSS Feed, you will know exactly when the next post in the series happens.
Good luck, now go out and do it!!!

Article Marketing - Generating A Plethora Of Backlinks

I have really gotten into Article Marketing over the last few months and seen huge results on little side projects that I have personally been working on. I have always known the value of Article Marketing, but not to the extent that I know realize. There is a website called Ezine Articles that I have always published by articles to. Ezine Articles is an amazing site and anyone looking to generate more website traffic should definitely submit articles to their directory.
Until I became more educated on the matter of Article Marketing, this is the only directory I would submit articles to. It worked great! I even went out and found more article directories to submit articles to as well. This eventually got so time consuming that I couldn’t do it any longer and knew that there had to be a better solution.
Two months ago, I was introduced to an Article Marketing distribution service called Article Marketer. GOLD MINE! Article Marketer is a service which takes the articles you write and submits them to hundreds, sometimes even thousands of article directories for you. They take the time and effort completely out of Article Marketing. They even have a service, which I have personally started to use that will write article for you! This is truly Article Marketing for the LAZY man!
Just so you can get an idea of how powerful Article Marketing really is, I will share with you a personal success. My wife owns a blog in which she is an active participant on. We wrote up three articles about different posts she has made in the last month and linked to those posts from the author bio box. Within three days after each article went out, my wife’s blog was in the top three keywords we targeted on each post.
It works!
This is powerful stuff!

Lead Generation - Social Media Marketing

Over the past few weeks, I have been going over a training presented by StomperNet called SMARTS. I have learned a lot of good stuff about marketing on Facebook, MySpace, and Video Marketing. Don Crowther, who by the way is a genius when it comes to internet marketing and lead generation, delivers quite a few hours of information which has changed the way I market online and the way we teach our clients to market online.
There is nothing better than free leads and with Social Media, you get just that! With Facebook, Don teaches how to integrate your profile, groups, and pages into a marketing strategy and it all starts with your personal profile and your friend base. I’m not going to give away too many jewels, but if you are going to market on Facebook, you need to have a very inviting profile, the desire and drive to go out and make new friends (outside of your current group of friends), and interaction (wall posts, messages, etc.) with your current friends and new group of friends that you have been making. Once that is in action, you can then start inviting them to join your “very targeted” group and pages that you have set up. If you have links pointing back at your website or blog from your group and pages, you will see the increase in visits to your website and hopefully make some money from those visitors.
Hope this helps you get started with marketing on Facebook.

Internet Marketing - Unleashing The Power of SEO and Online Media

Internet marketing is becoming a huge commodity in our day. The money that companies pour into online media is much greater than two years ago. I remember reading last year that in 2008, Budweiser is taking a large portion of their advertising budget and allocating it toward the internet. Traditional forms of media i.e. TV and radio are becoming less effective in reaching potential customers as more and more people get high speed internet in their homes.
There are many forms of internet marketing such as affiliate marketing, co registration, pay per click marketing, pop ups and pop unders and purchasing display advertising. Each of these forms has their advantages and disadvantages and varies in price. I have found that companies like Value Click Media offer the largest number of services listed above and deliver pretty good results. However, they tend to be very pricey, as are most other lead generation or customer acquisition companies.
If a company has a smaller advertising budget they will be better off doing some low volume pay per click marketing via Google and Yahoo AdWords and put more effort and money into optimizing their website and try to rank higher in the search engines. Just a few changes to the title tag, site description, h1 and h2 tags, keyword density, and internal linking structure and you will already be moving up in the rankings. Add few hundred to a thousand links pointing back to your website and you will most likely be on the first page of Google for the keyword(s) you are targeting.
My purpose in this post this morning is to hopefully help people realize that man cannot live by internet marketing alone! Well, maybe you can, but it isn’t the most cost effective way to build a base of customers.
I’m going to end my post with a real life example. There is a very large company here in Utah and they have a monthly internet marketing budget of $100,000. For the last three years they have been running a company that is registration based with no website optimization. They focus their efforts on affiliate marketing and co registration and average about 70,000 registrations per month and always exhaust the 100 grand budget. Recently, they redesigned their website and hired a skilled SEO to optimize their site. Last month they tripled their organic traffic from the search engines and had 140,000 registrations for the 100 grand that they spend on internet marketing. I am told that this month is already higher.
You can clearly see that there are so many weapons and ways to go about generating customers. Those who have a balanced mix of SEO and internet marketing will find themselves with more customers spending less money to acquire them.
